Our organization exists because of a dog named Coda — a Siberian Husky who taught us that love doesn't pause when a diagnosis is scary or a bill is overwhelming. When Coda faced years of serious illness, she got every treatment, every chance, every yes. Not every pet is that lucky.
More than half of pet owners have had to skip vet care they couldn't afford. Every day, that means a family somewhere is choosing between their pet's life and their financial survival. Coda's Paws for Hope exists so that choice never has to be made alone.
We pay veterinary bills directly for pet families in crisis — fast, with dignity, and no red tape. We're entirely founder-funded and volunteer-run, which means 100% of every gift goes straight to a pet's care, not overhead.
We're a newly incorporated California nonprofit public benefit corporation with our federal EIN in hand, and our 501(c)(3) application is pending with the IRS. Because exemption, once granted, applies retroactively to our incorporation date, gifts made now are expected to qualify as tax-deductible. We recommend keeping your donation receipt and confirming timing with your tax advisor.
Because every pet deserves a chance. And every family deserves hope.
